Job Summary:

We are hiring a Senior Planning Engineer on behalf of our client in the contracting industry, with solid experience in villa construction projects across the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring for multiple villa developments, ensuring all milestones are achieved within budget, scope, and authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, covering all stages from pre-construction to handover.
• Prepare baseline programs, look-ahead schedules, progress reports, and recovery plans when required.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure work progress aligns with approved schedules.
• Conduct critical path analysis, identify potential delays, and propose effective mitigation strategies.
• Monitor actual progress versus planned targets, analyze variances, and produce accurate weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Prepare and document Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analyses.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor schedules to ensure consistency with the master project plan.
• Provide planning input during tender and pre-construction stages, including construction sequencing and resource allocation.
• Ensure full compliance with Abu Dhabi authority standards such as ADM, Estidama, and Civil Defense regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of planning experience, with at least 5 years in UAE villa projects (preferably within Abu Dhabi).
• Expertise in Primavera P6, with proficiency in MS Project and MS Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of villa construction methodologies, site logistics, and project phasing.
• Proven experience in claims preparation, project control, and EOT documentation.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• PMP or equivalent certification is an added advantage.
