Detection System Technician — Qatar

Location: Doha, Qatar (Long-term)

Salary: QAR 4,300 – 5,000

Overview: Responsible for installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of detection systems, including X-ray machines, baggage scanners, walkthrough and metal detectors. Experience with Smith or Rapiscan systems is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, troubleshoot, and commission detection and scanning equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Conduct inspections, maintain documentation, and prepare performance reports.
• Comply with company QHSSE policies and ensure a safe working environment.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals to facilitate maintenance work.
• Complete assigned work tasks efficiently and support other maintenance operations as required.

Requirements

• Diploma in relevant technical field (mandatory).
• 4–10 years of experience in Detection Systems (X-ray, baggage scanner, walkthrough, or metal detector).
• Hands-on experience with Smith or Rapiscan systems preferred.
• Good communication, troubleshooting, and reporting skills.
