At SolitAir, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of flight safety and operational excellence. We are seeking an experienced Flight Data Analyst to join our Safety Department in Dubai.

This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting investigations, and driving continuous improvement by analyzing and interpreting flight data from the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) using FDM/FOQA systems.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain SolitAir’s FDM policies and procedures in line with GCAA and industry best practices

• Liaise with IT to ensure seamless data capture and availability for the FDM program

• Process and analyze raw flight data using FDM/FOQA systems

• Identify exceedances and validate FDM triggers and thresholds

• Contribute data-backed insights to safety reports and air safety analysis

• Support the development of software routines for special flight performance studies

• Prepare monthly and yearly FDM bulletins in coordination with the FSO

• Maintain backups and statistics related to the Flight Data Analysis (FDA) program

• Develop safety training materials and assist in compiling Safety Performance Indicators for GCAA reporting

• Collate and present data for quarterly Safety Action Group meetings

• Investigate and identify hazards based on flight data in collaboration with the Safety Officer and Flight Operations

• Participate in safety seminars, events, and cross-departmental initiatives

• Actively contribute to the Safety Action Group to address procedures, concerns, and improvements

🎓 Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

• Valid CPL is preferred

💼 Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in a mid-sized airline

• Strong knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS)

• Hands-on experience with FDM/FOQA systems is mandatory

• Familiarity with technical manuals, regulations, and GCAA requirements

🛠️ Training Requirements:

• FDM/FOQA software training

• Aircraft systems and flight operations familiarization

• Data analysis and visualization tools (desirable)

• Air accident and incident investigation training (desirable)

📊 Skills & Competencies:

• Expert-level Microsoft Excel and proficiency in MS Office/Google Suite

• Strong communication and report-writing skills

• Investigative mindset with excellent analytical abilities

• Sound decision-making and teamwork skills
