Position Title: Machinist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist with strong expertise in machine operation, precision measuring instruments, and the overhaul of diesel engine-driven equipment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry, with hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of compressors, pumps, and generators.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain various machine tools and equipment.

Use and maintain precision measuring instruments including:

Vernier calipers

Inside and outside micrometers

Depth micrometers

Gauges, dial indicators, and feeler gauges

Accurately read and interpret technical drawings and calculations.

Work with both metric (mm) and imperial (inch) measuring systems.

Carry out routine maintenance, repair, and overhauling of:

Diesel engines

Mobile air compressors

Generators

Pumps

Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in overhauling diesel engines, compressors, pumps, and generators.

At least 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry or similar industrial facilities.

Strong knowledge of machine tools, tools maintenance, and measuring instruments.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documents.

Skilled in using both metric and inch-based measuring tools and marking instruments.
